Renton Chamber of Commerce 2009 Business Excellence Awards: CISR Non-Profit of the Year

During the Spring of 2009, the Renton Chamber of Commerce honored 15 businesses in five distinct categories and identified finalists to attend a Gala in their honor to celebrate the recipients of the 2009 Business Excellence Awards. Community businesses were recognized for customer service, community leadership, outstanding non-profit, business excellence 1-10 employees and 10+ employees.

Because of the impact Communities In Schools of Renton (CISR) has had during the past year, providing free-of-charge services to public school students, and their families and matching community volunteers with students who may be at risk of academic failure, CISR was recognized by the Renton Chamber of Commerce as the 2009 Business Excellence Award recipient for Outstanding Non-Profit of the Year.

We are thankful to the Renton community for their support in carrying forward the mission and vision of CISR, and for helping us promote further the good work of our staff and volunteers. We look forward to continue serving the Renton community for years to come in an effort to make it a thriving and successful City.
